Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld GK-II celebrated its 10th Annual Extravaganza with the theme — World of Dolls

As the spotlight illuminated the stage, it also shone a light on the budding confidence of Pre-primary kids. With each step and every word spoken, they radiated a glow of self-assurance, proving that even the tiniest stars can shine brightly when given the chance.

In the rhythmic beats of a dance or the melodious notes of a song, there lay a harmony that transcended the world as Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK-II celebrated its 10th Annual Extravaganza–World of Dolls — on March 17, 2024, at the Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park auditorium. 

The venue was adorned with vibrant decorations, featuring an array of dolls and unicorns, creating a colorful and enchanting ambiance. The day unfolded in full spirits with the welcome speech given by Ms Shivani Nagpal, senior coordinator at Rhythms Kinderworld, GK-II. 

The gathering was attended by Mrs Monika Kapil Mohta, former Ambassador to Switzerland V20 Sherpa Ambassador, who was the chief guest, Dr Neha Berlia, Joint Secretary of Apeejay Education, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Pro-Chancellor Apeejay Stya University Ms Ranjana Gauhar, renowned Odissi dancer-choreographer and a National Award winner, and Ms Maestro Saskia Rao-de-Haas, a distinguished virtuoso cellist-composer-cultural entrepreneur, and an educationalist. 

Also gracing the occasion were Dr VS Garg, Mr Sharad Tiwari, and Mr NN Nayyar, (Education Officers), alongside the esteemed Principal of Apeejay Panchsheel Park, Ms Surabhi Joshi. The event commenced with a traditional ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the start of auspicious proceedings. The Headmistress of Rhythms Kinderworld, Ms Komal Nathani, extended a warm green welcome as a gesture of gratitude to all esteemed guests and dignitaries in attendance.

Ms Mohta taking the stage said that she would like to acknowledge Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, who was not present for the event, today, for being a great visionary and a great pathbreaker for me and a friend of mine. “Apeejay is not just creating survivors, they are creating a generation who is going to build this world. I am delighted and privileged to be here amidst the wonderful Apeejay family. Kudos to all of you for creating this amazing morning that I had here on your Annual Day. Education is not just about studying, or just sports and extracurricular activities. We must prepare the kids to become survivors and be successful in this world. In a sense, we must give them a survival kit. With Apeejay, the culture is very different. We are not just creating survivors in this world. We are creating the future generations who are going to build this world,” Ms Mohta said.

Ms Gauhar, speaking at the event, said that it was truly refreshing to witness such vivid imagination and creativity, especially through the lens of our youngest learners. “Their ability to bring stories to life with their boundless energy and enthusiasm is nothing short of captivating. The concept behind their performances is not only superb but also incredibly engaging,” she shared.

Speaking at the event Dr Neha Berlia said: “Today marks a significant moment as we gather to celebrate the Annual Day of Rhythm’s Kinder World GK-II. At the outset, I extend a heartfelt welcome to our esteemed chief guest, guest of honour, and other dignitaries. Rhythms Kinderworld stands as a testament to our commitment to providing a nurturing environment to our children. With its contemporary infrastructure, innovative curriculum, and dedicated faculty, this preschool optimises excellence in early childhood education.”

“We intend to expose the little ones to real-life situations, infusing and developing decision-making, problem-solving research, and action-oriented skills. At Apeejay Education, our efforts are guided by the vision of my late grandfather, Dr Stya Paul, and relentless dedication by my mother, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia.,” Dr Neha Berlia said and added that as we celebrate the achievements of Rhythms Kindergarten, we also celebrate the larger Apeejay Stya family, with over 40,000 students, 65,000 alumni, and 500 educators and staff members, comprising 26 educational institutes across the country.

“In embracing emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the Internet of Things, we ensure that our students are prepared for the challenges of the future. Today, as we witness the spectacular musical extravaganza — World of Dolls — and celebrate the graduation of the batch of 2023-2024, let us reaffirm our commitment to nurturing young minds and shaping a future where every child can thrive and succeed,” Dr Neha Berlia shared and extended her heartfelt gratitude to the entire Rhythm Kinderworld family, parents, teachers, students, and staff for their unwavering support and dedication. She also congratulated Ms Nathani and her dedicated team for their commendable work.

Furthermore, Ms Nathani said: “Dreaming of a world, where hearts are all known. Children with wings, laughter unfurled. In this dream, peace reigns, in harmony twirled. A vision of hope, an endless dream. One earth, one family, one future gleam. With the blessings of honourable and dynamic Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, who is our inspiration and the guiding light of Dr Neha Berlia, we are extremely privileged to extend our heartiest welcome to the august gathering at our 10th Annual Extravaganza.”

Founder-chairman, Dr Stya Paul’s legacy of excellence is being carried forward by his daughter, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, and his granddaughter, Dr Neha Berlia, the Headmistress said. A sincere gratitude was extended to Mr Nishant Berlia, Co-Promoter Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and Mr Aditya Berlia, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University; Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University.

As the cultural extravaganza unfolded, it was truly amazing to see the toddler bringing the World of Dolls alive. It brought to life a captivating storytelling concept centered on a young princess accompanied by her Godfather and Godmother; the narrative unfolded as they embarked on a journey through the enchanting world of dolls. 

Each doll represented a different country, showcasing its unique culture through vibrant dances and insightful commentaries in the background. The overarching message of Vasudev Katumbukum resonated throughout the event, emphasising the universal values of kindness, compassion, and respect. The theme underscored the importance of fostering peace and harmony, reminding us that we are all part of one global family.

The cultural journey began with Japan, where the audience was immersed in cultural experiences as dolls adorned in Kimonos and wielding folding fans graced the stage. Followed by this, a captivating portrayal of ancient wisdom by Arabic dolls, adorned in headgear and using props to enhance their act. 

The spotlight then shifted to It’s time for Africa, where young performers dressed in vibrant African attire mesmerised the audience with their beautiful dance. Amidst the performances, parents shared their heartfelt feedback: “It was a great day! I enjoyed seeing these young kids grow into such great humans. It was a beautiful Sunday morning,” Shipra Sharma, mother of Vedika Sharma, a student of class Play Puffins, said.

“It was as amazing as last year. The teachers of this school are cooperative which is why we chose to let our daughter study here. Kudos to the school,” Ms Meghna, mother of Sahiba, a student of nursery, shared. 

The cultural extravaganza continued with enchanting performances, including a graceful ballerina representing Russia and vibrant festivities symbolising Spain’s rich cultural heritage. The event culminated with a tribute to India; the dolls adorned in traditional Indian attire stood as a testament to the theme of One Earth, One Family. The act emphasised unity in diversity. A solemn pledge-taking ceremony ensued for unity in diversity, followed by engaging performances, including a spirited Himachali folk dance.

As the curtains drew to a close, the grand finale unfolded with all students taking the stage to dance to the beats of Maa Tujhe Salaam, saluting Mother Earth while waving the National Flag, culminating with tiny tots singing the National Anthem.

The event also honoured the graduating students with certificates and trophies, presented by esteemed chief guests and guests of honour. This was followed by a Vote of Thanks where all the esteemed guests and dignitaries were given immense gratitude on the behalf of the entire family of Rhythms Kinderworld. 

“We extend our deepest appreciation for the divine providence that has guided us at every step, making this event a resplendent celebration. Special thanks to Ms Sushma Paul Berlia for their luminous guidance. We acknowledge the visionary leadership of Mr Nishant Berlia, Mr Aditya Berlia, Dr Neha Berlia, and our esteemed management committee members for their steadfast stewardship,” said Ms Rabia Azim, a coordinator at Rhythms Kinderworld.

A heartfelt salute to Ms Nathani was also extended whose indomitable spirit and unwavering support have been instrumental in our endeavours. “A heartfelt thanks to all who were present today and exemplified the strength of our community and our shared vision of nurturing brilliance. Each gesture of kindness contributes to the brilliant mosaic of gratitude, reflecting the truest expression of our humanity,” the coordinator said.
