The early years of schooling often shape how children begin to see learning, friendship, and independence. At Apeejay School, Tanda Road, the pre-nursery classroom recently turned into a space filled with colour, laughter, and discovery as young learners stepped into a new phase of life away from home.

For many children, these first classroom experiences carry quiet significance. They learn to adjust to unfamiliar surroundings, interact with peers, and express themselves through simple everyday activities. The school’s recent learning sessions focused on helping children settle into this new environment with comfort and joy.
The tiny learners spent their days exploring playful moments on rides and slides, turning ordinary routines into memorable experiences. The activities were designed to encourage curiosity while helping children feel confident in their surroundings. Teachers guided them through each task with patience and warmth, allowing the children to participate freely and happily.
Creativity remained at the centre of the classroom experience. Students enjoyed making My First Hand Print, an activity that introduced them to colours and textures in a simple and engaging manner. Finger dabbing with red colour in circle shapes encouraged sensory learning and helped strengthen motor skills through playful expression.
The learning journey continued with a cut-and-paste activity of a red apple. Through these small but meaningful exercises, children explored shapes, colours, and coordination while developing comfort with classroom interaction. The cheerful environment allowed them to learn naturally without pressure.
The days reflected more than classroom activities alone. They highlighted how early childhood learning depends on emotional comfort, creativity, and positive engagement. At this stage, even the smallest achievement can build confidence and help children form a healthy connection with learning.
By creating spaces filled with warmth, exploration, and encouragement, schools help young learners take their first educational steps with happiness and curiosity that often stay with them for years.
