Young delegates prepare for AISMUN X edition
The training sessions introduce students of Apeejay School, Faridabad, to the world of MUN
Model United Nations is often a student’s first close look at diplomacy, research, public speaking, and structured debate. To help students understand this format and prepare with greater clarity, Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, organised two training sessions for the upcoming AISMUN X Edition.
Building the foundation
The first session was conducted by Chief Advisor Harsh Malhotra for students of Classes VI to VIII. He introduced them to the basic idea of Model United Nations and explained how such forums help young learners develop confidence, communication skills, and global awareness.
For many students, MUN can initially seem unfamiliar because it involves formal procedures, research, and speaking from the perspective of an assigned country. The session helped simplify these ideas and gave students a clearer understanding of what participation involves.
Preparing senior delegates
The second training session was held on July 13, 2026, for students of Classes IX to XII. It was led by accomplished MUNers Jhujhar Singh and Guruansh Singh.
The students were introduced to MUN procedures, diplomacy, research, leadership, and meaningful debate. The session focused on the skills delegates need before entering a committee room. It also helped participants understand the importance of preparation, listening carefully, and presenting their views with clarity.
Learning through interaction
Both sessions were interactive and gave students the space to raise questions. Their queries were addressed during the discussions, helping both aspiring and experienced delegates gain useful insights.
The training also encouraged students to approach the conference with confidence and take greater responsibility for their individual research and preparation.
AISMUN X Edition is scheduled to be held on August 11 and 12, 2026. With the training sessions now complete, students have begun preparing for the conference with a stronger understanding of debate, diplomacy, and global leadership.
