The word empowerment means giving someone the authority to take decisions regarding their life,  career and much more. Whereas, women empowerment means accepting women’s viewpoints, making an effort to seek them and raising the status of women through educationawarenessliteracy, and training.  This acceptance will encourage them to be independent and make their own decisions.

Nowadays, in most of the countries women are treated equally to men. The foundation of women empowerment starts with educating the girls at the right age so that they become focused and make their parents as well as the country proud. Women empowerment is a need of an hour especially in developing countries like India.

In India, even today in many villages, women are not allowed to cross the threshold of the house. They believe that women should only be engaged in household chores, and even if they try to raise their voices they get tortured and abused.

However, if they don’t lose hope they can definitely succeed in the path. ‘Malala Yousafzai’ is one of the best examples of women empowerment. . At a very young age, this Pakistani girl raised her voice against the terrorists of Taliban, who were against the education of girls. Malala raised her voice and even got injured by a gunshot in her head. Now, she is an inspiration for many girls and women around the world. Not only Malala Yousafzai, there are many more examples of women empowerment like Indira Nooyi, Kalpana Chawla, Mary Kom, Indira Gandhi, and many more.

Now the question is how can we empower women? The answer is  easy but yet complicated.   Women should believe in themselves and shouldn’t be forced or even asked to give up their dreams and ambitions.

All they need is a supportive family who gives them a choice to marry or invest in their personal development. They should be given an equal work environment and their ideas should be encouraged and supported.

Not only the surroundings inspire women, but the women who believe in themselves, work with full dedication and never lose hope will surely  succeed in life.In conclusion, we can say that women empowerment is important for a better future for the country.
