Today’s youth have the ability to shape the future of the country

Patriotism – what does today’s youth think about it? What does it actually mean? It means the love or devotion of a person for his country. Patriotism is a feeling that pushes the citizens of a country to work for their nation selflessly. In other words, patriotism means keeping the country before oneself.

The feeling of patriotism is not only seen during the times of war, but it’s about standing strong when it comes to protecting, serving and saving the nation. Moreover, it helps in building the nation stronger together.

It is a known fact that thousands of men and women had fought together against atrocities of the British Raj. Many of them also sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. This proves their courage and feelings for the nation.

Similarly, other leaders shaped the future of the country and made it a better place for us to live in. They always thought about the betterment of the country. But, are today’s youth aware of their sacrifices? Do they believe it or not?

Our nation is just like our mother, who protects her child and when the child grows, he protects his mother. That’s why we refer to our country as our motherland. This means we must have the same love for our country as we have for our mother. After all, like our mother, our nation nurtures us and helps us grow.

In addition, the united country enhances the quality of citizens’ life by making people work for the collective interest of the country. When every person works for the betterment of the country, there would be no conflict of interest and a happier environment will prevail.

After that, peace and harmony will be maintained and citizens will have the spirit of brotherhood. Therefore, we should teach the kids about the importance of patriotism as they are the future of the country. They have such an ability to shape the future of the country. Like a child can become a doctor, who can save the lives of people, or a child can become a chef, who can cook food and feed poor people, and many more.

So, we should take a pledge to be a part of the nation, and encourage other people to be part of it to make it a better place to live in.
