Writing and performing poetry are an art. More so, improving at every stage leads to transitions in poetic writing style and vision. Janvi Sharma, the poetic prodigy from Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, takes these small steps of improvement.

An honour to select the budding talent as the Apeejay Promising Poet, let us hear about Janvi’s incessant progress and love for writing verses. Read edited excerpts:

Janvi, you are writing new poems almost daily on any new thing or topic you come across. Please tell us about it?

I feel poetry is meant for expression and if I come to expressing, I have a lot to share about each object, subject and their feelings, helping me to frame a poem on every new thing or topic that I see around me.

Beautiful! So, what’s your poetic philosophy?

I like to present my poems with a blend of logic and fiction, inspiring everyone and creating my own way and philosophy for writing poems.

But what gives you the idea to write poems on such relatable things?

I feel if we consider every activity of ours as an experience to learn from, then we can write poems on relatable things. It’s just that we need to be aware about our surroundings, and Voilà! a poem is automatically framed in the mind.
