Meet Shikha Sharma, mother of Srisha Sharma, class III student at Apeejay International School, Greater Noida who propounds that although syllabus is common in all schools, what differentiates Apeejay from others is the holistic environment it provides her daughter.

Has the school helped in the holistic development of your child?

Since my child is at a growing stage, I see gradual progress in her growth with the experiences she is having at school. Overall, Apeejay has a very pleasant vibe because I see my daughter feel extremely comfortable going to school. She has never complained about school and is always happy and willing to go to school. The school provides unconditional affinity towards its students.

How are the teachers at the school?

The teachers are very well-spoken and available on call even after school. Even the principal ma’am is very easy to approach and concerned about every student. Since the strength of the school is minimal, it gets easier for the teacher to pay individual attention to my daughter – this way my biggest concern regarding my young child has been resolved. I feel relaxed knowing that my child is being guided well and is taking care of important things like having food and using the washroom.

Why did you choose Apeejay for your daughter?

I selected Apeejay after looking around a lot of schools, mainly because I wanted my kid to be in a school that focuses equally on extracurricular activities along with academics. When I started looking for a school, I was told by many parents that there is a lot of pressure to study in other schools. Apeejay organises different and interesting cultural and sports activities and other events that help my kid explore her varied talents.

How often do you discuss school with your child?

My child narrates daily about her day at school without even me asking for it. This shows she is more than happy spending time at school and is learning something new daily. I also receive regular feedback from teachers during PTMs. Subject-wise, I would say she is good at Math, Science, and English and weak in Hindi, so we (teachers and I) are all together working on it. I am also satisfied with the fact that Srisha is given a lot of opportunities and suggestions to explore her strengths.

How has Apeejay fulfilled your expectations?

Studies and other activities were of prime importance for my daughter. I was never looking for a fancy school for my daughter with ACs in classrooms. I never wanted my child to take all the luxuries in life for granted. Hence, my criteria for a school that adds value was met here. If my child wakes up every morning and exclaims that she wants to go to school, then there is nothing more I want from the school.
