No parent can deny the importance of choosing the right school for their child. Most parents fall prey to advertisements and glossy brochures and end up shortlisting an average school that barely takes care of the child. Since a school places a greater emphasis on deciding your child’s future, you must look for certain factors like a good learning environment, extracurricular activities, and general knowledge education to name a few. Apeejay Education stands apart as it offers power-packed education along with activities.

“At this school, the teachers give special attention to each child and ensure that they are progressing well,” says Saurabh Mittal, the father of Kayaan Mittal studying in the nursery at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.

Excerpts from the interview:

What made you choose this school for your child?

Initially, we engaged with various schools to learn about their teaching methodology and the school environment. We even connected with different parents and relatives to understand their children’s experiences at different schools. After receiving immense positive feedback about Apeejay, we went ahead with recommendations to choose this branch.

How was the admission process?

At first, Kayaan could not get selected in the list but soon we received a call from the school. We were called to meet the management and perform certain formalities. Post this, we got him enrolled. The entire process went smoothly and we barely faced any hurdles.

Does your son like going to school?

Yes, he loves attending school. It was a bit challenging initially, but after a few days, he seamlessly adapted to the routine. When he returns, he excitedly shares stories and seems genuinely happy with his experiences.

Is he involved in extracurricular activities?

Yes, he takes part in dance. Right now he is very young and is just getting started with the same.

Does the school organise any functions? If yes, then does your child participate?

The best thing about the school is that at regular intervals different events are organised which keeps the children engaged; it is also a great way to teach them when the event is around a festival. Kayaan has taken part in various events, including cultural and dance performances that have been organised.

Anything new he has learnt recently?

He has recently started to speak fluently in English. Over time, his writing skills, have also improved. Earlier, he used to find it difficult to even hold the pencil but now he is at ease.

How do you spend quality time with him?

We share a good bond. Due to my hectic office schedule, we do not get a lot of time to spend together but whenever we do, we either play or study together. We spend more time usually on the weekends playing games that are good for cognitive skills.

What do you appreciate the most about this school?

The teachers of this school and their teaching methodology are commendable. The way they took care of Kayaan in his initial days when he faced problems with speaking, is worthy to be highlighted. Moreover, the teachers are also very approachable and share feedback, regularly.
