‘This school has significantly bolstered confidence in my child’

Simarjit Sonik, the mother of Vipul Sonik studying in class VIII at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, expresses her gratitude toward the teachers of this school for helping her son become a well-rounded individual.

In an impromptu interview, the mother discusses the special opportunities her son has received in extracurricular activities and sports, which were lacking in his previous school.

How has Vipul’s overall experience at school been so far?

Vipul’s experience at this school has been more than amazing. What is noteworthy about his journey so far is that he has never faced any major problems or hurdles. We are entirely satisfied with having enrolled him at this school.

Do you think that the school has helped your child grow well?

Undoubtedly, yes. Earlier, he was in a different school with limited options for sports and extracurricular activities. However, since joining Apeejay three years ago, he has excelled both academically and in sports.

 What extracurricular activities is he involved in?

Vipul actively participates in various extracurricular activities at school, such as dance and debates. His significant involvement lies in NCC, where he attends daily practice and thoroughly enjoys it.

How do you motivate him to study at home?

I am fortunate in this way, as he is very obedient. Being a scholar, he understands the importance of studying at home. I don’t have to push him much. Coming from an educational background, both of us, as parents, provide ample support to Vipul in his studies whenever necessary.

Any recent achievements?

Last year, Vipul authored an article for the school magazine, conducting in-depth research on space-related topics. The school uploaded his work on YouTube under his name. We take immense pride in this significant achievement.

How do you spend quality time with your child?

We make it a point to leave Delhi at least twice a year, providing our children with valuable opportunities to explore the world and gain insights into different cultures. Additionally, as a family, we engage in city outings on weekends.

What do you appreciate the most about the school?

The teachers of this school offer a high level of cooperation and approachability. If you want to address any concern, they will be readily available to assist you. Their encouragement adds a positive dimension to the learning environment.

What’s your parenting mantra?

If you want to achieve something significant in life, you must work hard and remain disciplined. It’s an ongoing struggle, but if you work diligently for a few years, you might be at ease later.
