‘The curriculum of this school is well-defined’

Numerous schools might be present in your area, but parents are always advised to choose a school that offers not just a good curriculum but also ensures that the child gets ample opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. Moreover, the teachers of the school must also give individualised attention as every child is unique. Some are fast learners while others are not. A teacher must keep such things in mind while devising the teaching methodology.

In an impromptu interview, the mother speaks highly of the teaching methodologies of this school. 

Why did you choose this school? 

I chose this school for my daughter based on the positive experience of my sister-in-law’s kids; they are also studying at this school. I am pleased and content with my decision to enroll my daughter here as this school has proven to be a good fit for my kid.

Does your child take part in extracurricular activities?

Yes, Radhya is involved in sports activities that the school organsied from time to time. She is also a member of the Sports Guru Club.

How do you help her study at home?

I stay informed about my daughter’s school updates through WhatsApp groups of the school. My approach to teaching her is quite different as I ensure to help her revise everything that has been taught at the school including alphabet and numbers. I actively engage with the Jolly Phonics provided on the Noodle platform. I take time to read and comprehend the material before helping her with it. Since she is very young, I blend play and study which makes the learning process more enjoyable and accessible for her.

How has the curriculum contributed to the development of your child?

The teachers at the school are excellent and the way they teach is exceptional. The teachers plan their lessons much in advance. This ensures smooth learning for the child. It also proves how well-organised the learning environment is at this school.

Is your child social?

Since Radhya was born during COVID-19 times, she is a little uncomfortable around people. But, with the rigorous efforts of her teachers, she has now learnt to interact with those around her including her classmates.

What do you appreciate the most about this school?

It has to be the teaching methodology. The teachers here explain everything in detail. They are also very approachable and give full attention to the child if they need to catch up. They regularly update us about our kids’ progress which is more than enough for a parent.

How do you spend quality time with Radhya?

I dedicate a minimum of two to three hours a day to spend with my daughter. In the evenings, we engage in outdoor activities and study together. She also actively participates in helping me with kitchen tasks.
