CBSE Class 10 Board exams are the stepping stones to the main exams awaiting a child two years later. It is a moment of great importance as it is a child’s first test of the adult world. A year of hard work, effort, discipline, and focus is evaluated on that day. Apeejay School, Faridabad knows this and hence trains all students in a holistic manner. It is not a surprise that their school students are doing so well. Let us meet the toppers and learn from their strategy and preparation schedule.
Shaurya Gupta: The School Topper

Shaurya Gupta became the school topper with an outstanding 97.4%. The topper wishes to study aeronautical engineering in the future and credits his success to his diligent study habits and the support from his school. Shaurya shares, “I studied throughout the day. I was super strong in Science, but English and French were my weak points. I read the NCERT books 6-7 times and did lots of worksheets as well. This gave me knowledge and confidence.”
He further appreciates his school’s role in his journey, saying, “The school was extremely helpful; they guided me throughout the journey. Teachers were so encouraging. Exam stress will always be there, but just keep a positive attitude, be focused on your goal, and the stress won’t get to you.”
Naima Ratra: Thorough Revision Paves the Way for Success

Naima Ratra secured the second position in the school with an impressive 97%. Speaking about her academic preparation, she says, “Like most of the students, I started studying seriously months before the exam. I completed my syllabus and gave utmost priority to revising the concepts. I tried to solve as many sample papers as I could. I worked hard, tried to be consistent and gave my best.” She further adds, “My favorite subject was Science, and the least was Social Science. Studying Social Science was quite a task, but I managed to get through by reading the NCERT books thoroughly and learning from the notes given by my teachers.”
Naima credits her school for her performance, mentioning, “My school played a major role in helping me achieve good grades. My teachers were always there to help me with my doubts or queries. Regular tests and assignments were helpful in understanding the variety of questions. I could always approach my teachers, and they helped me remain focused and motivated.”
Naima, who wishes to become an astrophysicist and will be opting for the non-medical stream says, “Managing stress was quite easy for me. Whenever I felt stressed or anxious, I would listen to my favorite playlist and sing my heart out, which really helped me regain my confidence. My parents also helped me a lot during times of distress.”
Janya Chawla: A Tryst with Success

Janya Chawla became the third topper with a stellar 96.8%. Speaking about her preparation schedule, Janya says, “The basic principles of understanding the concepts and thoroughly studying the NCERT syllabus books did wonders for me. I prepared detailed class notes for all the subjects and regularly gave mock tests to improve my attempt accuracy and speed.”
She further adds, “Practical subjects like Maths and Science were my favorite, while Social Studies was the subject I found challenging. However, I overcame the challenge by making detailed notes, giving mock tests, and revisiting all the tough questions.”
Janya credits her school’s unwavering support, stating, “I got support from all the teachers in case of any doubts, queries, or clarifications required. Our teachers arranged mock tests throughout the year for our continuous learning.” The third topper plans to pursue engineering as her career and says listening to music, taking study breaks, along with the continuous support from family and her close friends, helped her manage exam stress effectively.
