Grooming of a child is not only limited to his/her personal development, but also adds to his/her social interaction skills. That’s why enrolling the kids in a grooming class has become a trend amongst young parents. Attending these classes helps a child overcome shyness, gain confidence, and develop positive self- esteem. In addition, it reinforces education of basic manners, proper etiquette, good behaviour as well as strengthen their ability to interact with others.

And for the students of Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, it comes as an advantage as the school not only encourages the tiny tots in academics, but also aims for their holistic development. They focus on providing an environment to the kids where they get plenty of opportunities to learn how to make friends, cooperate, listen, and build social skills.

Not only this, the school also ensures that kids feel comfortable and relaxed in a classroom environment. They focus on improving their overall personality by including activities that help them build self-esteem, confidence, communication and interpersonal skills, public speaking skills, positive attitude, creative thinking, social etiquette, dining etiquette, and much more.

Recently, the school organised a ‘Grooming Session’ for tiny tots of classes Nursery to 5. The classes were organised for 10 days, where the kids were engaged in innovative, interesting and interactive activities.

During the self-care sessions, the little ones were taught about the table manners, etiquettes and ways to maintain their personal hygiene. While, the communication classes focused on enhancing the confidence of the young learners. They were also familiarised with the basic rules of telephonic conversation and the impact of using magic words like ‘Thank You’ and ‘Sorry’ during routine conversation.

Young learners enthusiastically participated in all the classes including dance, music along with showcasing their talent in outdoor games. They also created beautiful artefacts in the Art and Craft classes.

Mrs Aarti Shorey Bhat, Vice Principal at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, kept up the spirit of the classes with her enthusiastic presence and participation with the students.

While appreciating the efforts of the students and teachers, Mr. A.K. Sharma, Principal at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi said, “Such initiatives by the school play a very vital role in the personality development of the students.”
