Technology can play key role in taking education to last mile: VP

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said technology can play a key role in taking education to the last mile by transcending barriers. He said that the untapped potential of the students can be harnessed when education is taken to the last mile. “We’re proving ourselves the best in IT and moving towards digitalisation, but basic adult education needs greater attention,” said the Vice President. Further adding to his comments, he said, “A country cannot claim itself to be developed if even 15 per cent of its population is not educated. It is a challenge for the country and leadership.”
