We live in a world which is continuously changing and evolving. Choosing the right schooling for your child is not just a matter of convenience but is pivotal to shaping their future.

School is not just about books, but it is also a place where you grow personally and socially. Parveen Kumar is a dedicated father of Aayat, a student of LKG studying at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. He explains how happy he is to see her daughter catching up with academics and learning new things at school.

“The credit for her exceptional growth goes directly to Apeejay School, for following such a unique and qualitative approach to educating their students,” Kumar said.

Excerpts from the interview

Why did you choose this school?

Every parent wishes to equip their children with the best education, no matter what it takes to be there. For the same, I was searching online and then ended up reading about Apeejay School. Since they have a widespread existence pan India, I also read that they take care of students not just academically but also assist them with other extracurricular activities. This is when I decided that there could be no better school than this, for my daughter.

What are her favourite activities?

My daughter is extremely active. She is always keen to take part in new activities and is majorly interested in dance competitions and annual functions held at her school.

Changes since she joined the school.

Yes. Earlier she was a little introverted and was reserved. As soon as she started going to school, she began to interact with kids of her age. This has helped her become more active. Her behaviour has improved and has become more responsible.

How is your interaction with her teachers?

Since Aayat is very young, there are no such parent-teacher meetings. However, the school has devised an ingenuous method that allows every parent to visit their child’s respective period during a given time period post-school hours. This gives parents the flexibility to ask about their kids or seek feedback from their teachers, as required.

Does the school use any particular strategy to help her develop good reading habits?

The best highlight about Apeejay School is, they don’t force kids to study anything. Teachers are very supportive. They are friendly with students and this is the best strategy any school can adopt. It is very important to teach toddlers with utmost patience and perseverance. I follow the same principle at home — Children should feel that studying is a priority and not a burden.

What is your parenting mantra?

Parenting is a difficult task. Since she is a toddler, she is stubborn at times. But we, as parents, manage her behaviour positively. The good thing is that my daughter is obedient. My parenting mantra: I don’t force her to do anything.
