Her soul-searching began as soon as she set foot in this school. Meet Pihu Srivastava, presently studying in class XI at Apeejay School, Noida. In a candid interview, she shares how she balanced her school life and a to-do list for future Class X Board aspirants.

What was your preparation like?
I scored 97.2% in my class X Board exams. I learnt and adapted throughout the year to accommodate everything and I believe that has made me a better version of myself. During those days I just committed to the nearest approaching exam and gave all my efforts to the same. Eventually, these efforts compounded over time to yield great results.
Which stream have you taken ahead and what are your plans?
I have taken up the Science stream. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence are my subjects. I plan on pursuing engineering tilting towards the branch of Computer Science.
How did the teachers at Apeejay help you?
Their insightful teaching, encouragement, and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in my academic success. All of them are highly experienced and had numerous tips and tricks up their sleeve that proved to be a game changer for me. They were always there to lend a helping hand and took out time for students.
Which extracurricular activities do you enjoy at school?
In my class X, I was USG IT in the Falcon Model United Nations Conference that is held annually by our school. I was also a member of the prestigious CODE Club and a class representative. I also participated in an Inter-school debate competition. I had things going on in my life besides studying and I was grateful to have something to look forward to every day. As an additional plus factor, I had to take out time for everything and improved my time management and prioritising abilities.
How has your journey been at school so far?
I joined Apeejay in class VI and I have had a wonderful experience. I have had a lot of time to discover new interests, navigate academic pressures, and find the balance between studies and personal growth.
Message for students appearing for class Boards next year.
Don’t succumb to peer pressure or take stress and pressure. Remember, these are also the formative years and the sooner you take action, the prouder you will make yourself. It is never about the destination, it’s always about the journey.
