The declaration of the CBSE Class X results brought immense pride and joy to the school community as several students achieved outstanding scores. Among the top performers were Shaleen Kalra, Ayush Johari, Himansh Gambhir and Simarbir Kaur from Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar who demonstrated remarkable dedication, consistency, and determination throughout the academic year. Their impressive results reflect not only their hard work but also the constant support of teachers and parents who guided them at every step of their learning journey.

These young achievers shared their experiences, preparation strategies, and future aspirations, offering valuable inspiration for other students preparing for board examinations.

Scoring an impressive 99 percent, Shaleen emerged as one of the top achievers. He secured 100 marks in English, Artificial Intelligence, and Mathematics, reflecting his strong command over multiple subjects.

Expressing his happiness after seeing the result, Shaleen said, “I felt elated. I was expecting around 97 or 98 percent, but I got 99, and it is a big achievement.”

He credited his teachers for playing a significant role in his success. According to him, the supportive learning environment at school helped him prepare confidently for the board examinations.

“Teachers helped a lot. Every subject was done fluently in class. Whenever I had doubts, they were cleared immediately. I could ask questions freely, and my teachers were always there to guide me—even picking up my calls when I needed help,” he shared.

Talking about his preparation strategy, Shaleen emphasised the importance of conceptual clarity and detailed understanding. “You have to be well prepared if you want to score well. Key details are important to remember. In Science, I studied all the chapters very deeply and made short notes of key points,” he explained.

Despite his intense preparation, Shaleen believes in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. He shared that his mother always encouraged him to spend time with friends and relax occasionally. “I played with my friends because my mother believed that students should enjoy the whole year. In the last few months, I felt no pressure because I was already prepared,” he added.

Looking ahead, Shaleen plans to opt for Non-Medical in Class XI and aims to crack JEE with the dream of studying at IIT Bombay.

Another outstanding performer, Ayush, scored 98.8 percent, making him one of the top scorers in the batch. He achieved 100 marks in Mathematics, demonstrating exceptional analytical skills.

Recalling the moment he saw his results, Ayush said, “It was kind of a surprise. When I saw that my marks were above 90 percent, I felt really happy.”

Ayush acknowledged the crucial role played by his teachers and the school in his success. “The school helped me a lot. Teachers supported me at every point and always cleared my doubts freely,” he said.

To manage exam stress, Ayush relied on music and a structured study routine. “Before the board exams, whenever I felt stressed, music helped me relax,” he shared.

He followed a  Pomodoro Technique preparation strategy that was simple yet effective. “I followed a routine where I studied for 50 minutes and then took a short break. This helped me stay focused and productive,” he explained.

Ayush believes that the key to success is consistency and a positive mindset. “Be consistent and never let yourself feel down. Always find your strengths and work on them,” he advised.

With strong determination, Ayush hopes to continue working with the same dedication and achieve success in his future academic and professional journey.

Simarbir also delivered an excellent performance in the board examinations by securing 98.6%. He scored 99 in Mathematics, 100 in English and Punjabi, 99 in Artificial Intelligence and Social Science, and 98 in another subject, reflecting her academic excellence across multiple disciplines.

According to Simarbir, self-study and consistency were the most important elements of his preparation. “The major key is consistency. If a person revises well and studies regularly, good results follow,” she explained.

During stressful moments, Simarbir relied on the support of his family. “Whenever I felt tired or stressed, I talked to my parents. Listening to music was also like therapy for me,” she shared.

Looking ahead, Simarbir aspires to pursue the medical stream and dreams of becoming a doctor. She also hopes to appear for the UPSC examinations in the future, reflecting her ambition to contribute to society in meaningful ways.
