Scholars from France, USA, and other countries attend Apeejay School of Management’s international conference

This was the 11th edition of the international conference where experts discussed management practices in the post-pandemic phase

Apeejay School of Management (ASM) organised the 11th International Conference on the theme “Changing Dynamics in Management and Leadership Post-Pandemic” on May 12. The conference was held in collaboration with EM Normandie Business School, France, and Chittagong Independent University, Bangladesh.

The event was attended by senior academicians and research scholars from various countries including Tunisia, Morocco, France, Bangladesh, the US, and India, who presented 27 research papers spread over four technical sessions in Finance, HR, Marketing, and General Management.

Dr Alka Munjal, Director, ASM, who welcomed the delegates, highlighted how the various sectors impacted heavily due to Covid are gradually bouncing back to normalcy in the post-pandemic phase. This has been made possible through reoriented strategic pathways based on fresh insights.

Dr Shweta Jha, conference convener, elaborated on how organisations managed to cope with the Covid-19 crisis with resilience, recognised the limitations of the traditional strategic framework, and adopted new ways to manage resources and lead people post-pandemic.

These difficult times reinforced how sustainability was integral to corporate strategy and public policy, Dr Sylvaine Castellano, Professor, Dean of Research, EM Normandie Business School, France, emphasised in her keynote address. Dr Mohammad Nayeem Abdullah, Professor and Dean, Chittagong Independent University, Bangladesh, discussed the changing attitudes of organisations towards aspects of leadership and management.

Dr Pooja Chaturvedi Sharma compeered the inaugural session. Dr Emon Kalyan Chowdhury, Associate Professor, Chittagong Independent University, Bangladesh, and Professor Kamal Kishore, Dean, Apeejay School of Management, chaired a technical session on Finance. Dr Khelladi Insaf, Associate Professor, Léonard de Vinci Pôle Universitaire, France, and Dr Etinder Pal Singh, Deputy Director, Apeejay School of Management, chaired another technical session on Marketing. Dr Somendu Biswas, Assistant Professor, Management Development Institute, and Dr Ishita Adhikari, Associate Professor, Apeejay School of Management, chaired a technical session in HR. Dr Srirang Jha, Associate Professor, Apeejay School of Management, chaired the technical session in General Management.

Dr Akshita Arora, Dr Chhaya Wadhwa, Professor Ruchi Malik, and Dr Malvika Mahesh steered the technical sessions in Finance, HR, Marketing, and General Management, respectively. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Ranjit Kaur, Assistant Professor-Marketing, ASM.
