NEET UG 2026: Application correction window closes today

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the application correction window for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (NEET UG) 2026 on March 14, 2026. Candidates who have already submitted their application forms are advised to review and correct their details, if required, through the official website before the deadline.

The correction facility was opened on March 12, 2026, and will remain available only until 11:50 PM on March 14, 2026. Once the window closes, no further changes in the application forms will be permitted under any circumstances. Aspirants must log in using their application credentials to access and update their forms. The NTA has clarified that this is a one-time opportunity for candidates to make necessary corrections.

During the correction period, candidates are allowed to edit specific details in their application forms. They can modify either their father’s name, qualification, and occupation or their mother’s name, qualification, and occupation. In addition, candidates can update their educational qualification details for Class 10 and Class 12, the state or Union Territory from where they have passed or are appearing for their Class 12 or equivalent examination, and their category.

Applicants can also edit sub-category details or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) status, upload or update their signature, and modify the number of attempts made in NEET UG. Changes in the examination city preference and the medium of the examination can also be made depending on the candidate’s permanent or present address.

Candidates who registered using identity documents other than Aadhaar will also have the option to update their identity details during the correction period. If any modification leads to a change in the application fee, candidates will be required to pay the additional amount to complete the correction process.

The NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted on May 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in pen-and-paper mode at exam centres across India and abroad. For further assistance, candidates may contact the NTA helpdesk or visit the official website.
