The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 will be conducted on June 15, 2025. Like last year, the exam will take place in two shifts. However, the official information bulletin, detailing eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and marking scheme, is yet to be released on the official website natboard.edu.in.

To be eligible for NEET PG 2025, candidates must complete their internship by July 31, 2025, as per the NBEMS notification issued in December last year. Each year, approximately two lakh MBBS graduates compete for 52,000 postgraduate medical seats across India.

In 2024, for the first time, NEET PG was conducted in two shifts instead of the traditional single-shift format. The exam was held on August 11, with the first shift from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and the second from 3:30 PM to 7 PM. Candidates were assigned shifts randomly to ensure fairness and eliminate bias.

Due to the new shift-based format, the NBEMS implemented a normalisation process for score calculation. Results were prepared using raw scores and percentages, with percentiles calculated up to seven decimal places. In case of ties, the age factor was considered, with older candidates ranked higher.

Candidates awaiting the NEET PG 2025 notification are advised to regularly check natboard.edu.in for updates on the exam pattern, marking scheme, and other important details.
