‘Majestic beauty of nature’: Poem by Shreya Aggarwal, Apeejay School, Noida

I sat on the river bank,
And trees around me stood still,
Suddenly I was blank!
Rushing down the hill,
I saw the newborn water.
And I sat, without an utter.

I got up and moved further,
And found;
That the raged water
Had now calmed down,
But only about an ounce.
I saw the water bounce,
By the rocks forming a crowd.

Again, I moved further
And found;
That the once raged water
Had now calmed down.
Though it was moving a lil’;
It seemed as if it was dead,
And trees around me stood still.

Far at the waterfall
I saw a rainbow,
And a bird go,
Rushing to the forest,
In its nest.
There was a louse,
On its young one’s feather;
And the insect had made it its house.

I rushed to the tiny one’s aid
And helped the mother remove the louse,
From whom she had once laid.
Then the mother bird,
And the father bird,
Twittered happily,
As if thanking me.
Then I went to the river bank,
Near the rainbow;
And saw a bee go,
Towards a flower,
To collect nectar.
I followed it to its beehive,
And saw her house thrive.
I was awed as I saw,
The bees work in perfect coordination and sync.
That day I was honored;
To witness the majestic beauty of nature,
Which I wished with all my heart, to capture.
