The integration of AI and ChatGPT in academia has been revolutionising methodologies as well as experiences. AI is assisting in personalised learning, automating administrative tasks while providing data-driven insights. Similarly, ChatGPT is enhancing student engagement through interactive conversations, aiding in concept clarification. Together, they are fostering a dynamic educational environment, promoting efficiency, accessibility, and innovation in academic pursuits.

Thus, with an objective to further familiarise teachers and academicians on ‘Impact of AI and ChatGPT in Academia’, Assistant Professor Anuj Kumar from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka recently delivered a special refresher course on this topic.

The session, held in online mode, was organised by Dr. Harisingh Gour University, Sagar in Madhya Pradesh. This session was organised under the aegis of UGC- Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre.

Deliberating on the Impact of AI and ChatGPT in academia,  Prof Kumar highlighted its growing importance. Another theme he focused on was “Technological Advancements in Research and Higher Education”. Prof Kumar talked about three different AI tools which can be used by the researchers to make their overall research process faster. He also talked about ethics involved in using AI tools.

Sharing his thoughts, Prof. Kumar said, “I am thankful to the course coordinator Dr. Babita Yadav for inviting me for the session. AI is changing the ways of doing research in a fast manner. It was a good feeling to impart knowledge to fellow academicians on this topic.”

Finally, Dr. Babita Yadav, the Course Coordinator, shared, “It’s always good to listen to Anuj sir on research topics. Today’s session was a mix of practical and theory but the way he explained those tools was impressive. Thank you for such an engaging session.”
