The circular outlines a series of recommended activities to actively engage students and teachers in the grand celebration of International Yoga Day 2023.

Over the past eight years, the global observance of Yoga on this significant day has been instrumental in spreading the message of incorporating this into daily routines for the betterment of mental and physical health, overall well-being, as well as the promotion of a sustainable lifestyle.

In order to ensure a magnificent success for this day and to instill the practice of Yoga at the grassroots level, the CBSE Board has encouraged students and teachers to actively participate in a variety of activities proposed by the Board.

Keeping this in mind, CBSE has suggested the activities to be conducted in schools. Some of these include: Yoga workshops and seminars, mass Yoga demonstration, quiz and essay writing competitions on Yoga-theme, active participation in Ministry of Ayush’s International Yoga Day competitions, etc.
