Importance of tree plantation

Published

on

Tree plantation is known as one of the most attractive and environmentally friendly activities in which people can participate to help the planet. It is necessary because trees provide oxygen to the environment and improve air quality. They are essential for humans and other living beings. Tree plantation also reduces pollution, making the lives of future generations more secure.

Plants are responsible for maintaining the environment in many ways. They unconditionally provide living beings with fresh air to breathe, food, and a variety of necessities for human survival, such as shelter, medicine, tools, and more. They are also home to various birds and animals. Besides this, they conserve biodiversity, water, soil, and control climate change. Trees also have many medicinal properties and are used for various purposes, making them important for a healthy, suffocation-free, and pollution-free life.

Deforestation is a major factor behind the climate change and global warming crisis we are facing today. This has led to numerous natural disasters, causing ecological imbalance, desertification, soil erosion, reduced crop yield, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and the extinction of many species of plants and animals. Deforestation results in drastic temperature variations from day to night, similar to a desert, which could prove fatal for many inhabitants.

The trees in rainforests provide shelter for many species and create a canopy that regulates the temperature. They also help control the level of water in the atmosphere by regulating the water cycle. In deforested areas, there is less water in the air to be returned to the soil, causing dryer soil and an inability to grow crops.

Since trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, tree plantation is the most effective organic method to prevent global warming and climate change. Climate change impacts include rising sea levels. The average sea level around the world rose about 8 inches in the past 100 years, and climate scientists expect it to rise more rapidly in the next 100 years as part of climate change impacts. The increasing temperatures and climate upheavals disturb ecosystems. Global warming leads to massive melting of permafrost and ice at the poles, increasing sea levels. Additionally, when it rains and floods, the earth’s soil is washed away. The roots of trees play an important role in preventing soil erosion.

We recognise that deforestation is one of the most serious problems. If we want to make our world greener and better, we must pay more attention to tree plantation. We must also stop cutting down trees and remember that there is no life without trees. It is crucial for our life. Everyone should know the importance of tree plantation and encourage others to do the same. If more trees are planted, then the world’s environment will become a safer place to live in.
