HR professionals train management students on how to be corporate ready

The experts discussed the skills that the students needed to acquire to become good professionals

Apeejay School of Management (ASM) recently organised its first corporate meet this month. Mili Chadha, director-HR, Assocham, and Saurabh Kumar Sinha, Deputy General Manager-HR & Admin, Livpure, came together for a panel discussion on the topic “Mantras on how to be Corporate Ready”. The session was moderated by Dr Ranjit Kaur, assistant professor-marketing, ASM.

The panellists addressed diverse issues, from how HR professionals navigate the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) world to interview preparation tips for management students. The experts also highlighted the skills that students should hone to keep up with the times.

The corporate meet concluded with the announcement of the much-awaited Summer Internship Programme (SIP) results for the post-graduate diploma batch of 2021-23 along with the merit holders. The top three scorers were Loveesh Bali, Shriti Goyal, and Kajal Kumari. They were felicitated by Dr Alka Munjal, director, ASM, in the presence of corporate and faculty members.

Said Dr Munjal, “The presence of corporate mentors in the learning process is integral to the holistic nurturing of students, and we are thankful to them for having given an excellent opportunity to our students.”

The respective winners shared their learning experiences with the audience, which was followed by a formal vote of thanks from Dr Ishita Adhikari, head-Corporate Resource Centre, ASM.
