For all research students and aspirants, it is essential to understand the basics of writing a good research paper as well as a comprehensive proposal to get the necessary funding. Alas, while the research topic is debated for hours, it’s also necessary universities do not miss out on teaching young scholars these essentials. Therefore, Confab 360 Degree recently organised a one-week faculty development programme (FDP). This took place in collaboration with Guru Nanak Institute of Management, Delhi; Narayana Business School, Gujarat; European School of Data Science and Technology, Switzerland and European Global Varsity, Switzerland.
Anuj Kumar, Assistant Professor from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, Delhi was invited as a resource person to deliver a talk on: Emerging topics for publication and How to draft proposal for research grant. During the talk nearly 80 participants from different universities across India and the world were present.


Prof. Kumar deliberated on the importance of topic selection in research publication, and how it could help increase the scope of the research. He also discussed how the topic plays an important role during pre-screening of a paper. In the second session, he deliberated on the essentials of a good research proposal for submitting projects to funding agencies. The Assistant Professor also elaborated on the funding he received from both AICTE and ICSSR for conferences and projects. Overall, it was a fruitful and motivating session for all academicians.

Dr. Sonali Dharmadhikari, researcher from Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development, Pune was delighted after the session. Speaking about the same, she exclaimed, “The session was very enlightening. Prof. Anuj is a good researcher as well as a good motivator. His sessions made me aware of many common essentialities I was missing out on.”
Dr. Aruna Dev Roy, researcher from The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati mentioned, “The session was a good wake up call as it helped me understand the pre-screening process of journals and how to apply for research grants. I benefited a lot from the session.”
In the end, Prof Anuj shared, “It was wonderful to address the participants from all around India and foreign countries. Research publication requires meaningful deliberation and collaboration. I hope my session would help the participants in getting proposals ready for grants.”
