Festive Bliss: Faridabad school’s winter carnival paints a canvas of smiles

In a splendid display of festive fervour, Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sector 21-D, embraced the spirit of winter with its grand WinterFest Carnival on December 23, 2023. The event, a celebration rather than a mere acknowledgment of the season, unfolded with grace and enthusiasm, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all attendees.

The esteemed gathering was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including RTN JP Malhotra, Charter President of Rotary Club Faridabad Midtown, and RTN Upinder Singh Ahluwalia, President Elect 24-25, Rotary Club Faridabad Midtown, who graced the occasion as Guests of Honour. Shri Sanjay Shukla, President RWA 21-D Faridabad, Shri Jai Prakash Mavi, General Secretary RWA 21-D, and Shri Pankaj Srivastav, Joint Secretary RWA 21-D, added to the event’s prestige as special guests. The reception was marked by a warm welcome from the school’s Principal, Ms Priti Wason.

The atmosphere was charged with festive anticipation as colourful balloons soared into the sky, symbolising the commencement of the Winter Fest Carnival. Ms Wason, in her address to the esteemed gathering, lauded the visionary Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul and commended the seamless continuation of his legacy by his daughter, Madam Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University. Her speech concluded with heartfelt wishes for happiness and good health in the upcoming year.

The students, true to the spirit of the season, serenaded the audience with various carols and danced joyfully, creating an ambiance saturated with the essence of Christmas. The school campus echoed with the sounds of laughter and music, painting a vivid picture of a community reveling in shared joy.

A medley of competitions, including Ramp Walk, Baby Show, Dance Competition, and Drawing, showcased the incredible talent of the students. The participation was not just commendable; it was a testament to the vibrant and spirited community within the school.

No festival is complete without joyrides, and the Winter Fest Carnival was no exception. Children and adults alike revelled in the thrill of the Ferris wheel, the Roller-coaster, the Grand Columbus, and the Merry-go-round. The crowning touch was the camel ride, adding a touch of uniqueness to the festivities.

The alumni contribution was a highlight of the event, with Rishabh Dev Verma, an alumnus of the school, serenading the audience with soulful melodies, casting a nostalgic spell over the gathering.

Against the backdrop of a beautiful, warm, and sunny day, families and friends came together, creating memories that will linger for years. The smiles on every face bore testimony to the perfection of the day, a culmination of meticulous planning, boundless enthusiasm, and a community united in the spirit of celebration.
