Farewell to Remember: A blend of emotions, achievements, and promises for the future

In the grand tapestry of one’s academic life, farewells emerge as poignant threads weaving through the intricate narrative of personal growth and set of memories. As outgoing students stand at the cusp of a new chapter, the significance of farewells transcends as a mere sentimental ritual.

Moreover, these events serve as a ceremonial rite of passage, marking the culmination of years dedicated to learning, self-discovery, and forging lasting connections. To bid adieu to outgoing students not just for the sake of saying good-bye but with the essence of making them feel loved, students of class XI at Apeejay School, Nerul, and the whole staff of the school organised a farewell for class XII students.

The function took place on February 9, 2024. It was a treat to encounter young girls and boys dressed up in sarees and blazers respectively. Commencing at 3 pm., the event took a toll with an invocation dance, accompanied by the ceremonial lighting of the auspicious lamp, symbolizing the invocation of divine blessings.

The outgoing Head Boy, and Head Girl, poured their hearts out in departing speeches, which made everyone feel truly emotional. Addressing the gathering, the Principal of the school, Mr P Subhash, extended his good wishes to the students and encouraged them to embrace a lifelong journey of continuous learning. He emphasised the pivotal role of the school and teachers in shaping a child’s growth and well-being, assuring the students that they can always return for support in achieving their goals.

Additionally, the event reached a highlight when the eleventh-grade students took to the stage, delivering a mesmerizing dance performance that captivated everyone present. Meanwhile, the seniors from class XII showcased a commendable spirit of competition by taking part in the highly anticipated ‘Mr and Ms Apeejay Contest,’ vying for the prestigious titles. The participants were evaluated on various criteria, including etiquette, politeness, discipline, intelligence, and eloquence. The event took a lively turn when the class XII students engaged in entertaining and engaging games, adding a vibrant touch to the atmosphere.

The highlight of the event was when the announcement of coveted titles of Mr and Ms Apeejay was announced.  Adding to the event’s excitement was the revelation of the Understudy Head Girl and Head Boy from class XI. Met with resounding cheers, the outgoing Head Girl and Head Boy graciously passed on the school flag to the newly designated leaders. Bringing the festivities to a close, the event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the delightful serving of scrumptious refreshments.
