Participants set the stage on fire in ‘Pinnacle 2022’

The two-day annual fiesta at the Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus was filled with thrill and enthralling performances.

The two-day annual fiesta ‘Apeejay Pinnacle 2022’ recently concluded at Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, wherein many students from the institute participated with great gusto in 50 different events.

The Chief Guest for the first day was Sh. Jaspreet Singh, (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar who inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. In his address to the students, he expressed, “Students should work hard to upskill themselves if they want to achieve any of their dreams – be it becoming an entrepreneur or a civil servant.”

On the second day, Shri Gursharan Singh Sandhu, IPS, IG, Jalandhar Range graced the inauguration ceremony as the Chief Guest. During his inaugural speech, he applauded the consistent endeavours of AIMETC in shaping the future of the youth with missionary zeal.

While expressing his delight over the level of excellence of all the cultural events, he said, “Apeejay is fulfilling its mission of providing quality education to the students. They have tremendous potential and they just need to work hard. India is on a fast moving trajectory and with students putting in their best endeavours, our country will surely reach greater heights.”

 

Welcoming the chief guest, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director at AIMETC stressed on the importance of such multi-event meets that add to the personality development of the students. He said “Institute has established itself as one of the best Institutes in the region, and is the first choice of the students seeking to pursue professional courses.”

Further, Dr. Bagga highlighted the importance of organising such events and said, “Such forums help these young minds to exploit their hidden talent.” He also talked about the need to develop the mental, cultural, social and intellectual abilities of the students along with formal education.  

The two-day grand fiesta encompassed various events including academic events such as Paper Presentation, Quiz, Debate, Elocution, Net Savvy, and so on. Skit, Antakshri, One Act Play, Dumb Charade, Debate, Classical Vocal Solo, Balle-Balle, Fashion Show, Duet Song were part of the cultural events. Meanwhile, the sports events comprised Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball and Chess.

The second day of Pinnacle 2022 started with Bhajan rendition and throughout the day there was a spectacular pageant of thrilling competitions. There were ecstatic victories and inspiring moments, which have been etched as unforgettable memories.

Speaking about her experience, Harshita Dubey of MBA said, “I participated in a fashion show in Pinnacle which helped to boost my confidence. I shall always cherish the time spent in the rehearsals and obviously the time we put on the final show.”

Another MBA student, Harpreet Singh Bajwa said, “To eliminate the stage fear and work on my communication skills, I participated in debate and paper presentation.”

Excited about her participation in various activities, Ritika, an MBA student said, “I had participated in various events like Solo Dance, Western Dance, Antakshri and the Folk Dance with the Amazing team. It was a complete package of fun and happiness. I enjoyed a lot with all my friends”

In the end, Mr Sandhu gave accolades to the students for this spectacular show and commendable performances displayed by them in various events. Overall, Pinnacle 2022 was a rejuvenating and enthralling experience for all.
