Participants have fun on the stage and off it at Apeejay Pinnacle 2021
The two-day annual fiesta at the AIMETC campus was filled with thrill and excitement.

After a gap of just one year owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, students and faculty members of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar organised ‘Apeejay Pinnacle 2021′ ’. The two-day annual fiesta was celebrated with great gusto wherein students participated in more than 40 different events.
More than 200 enthusiastic students showcased their talents in this multi-event meet that included both off-stage and on-stage activities.
A first year MBA student with AIMETC, Isha Sharma said, “The two days were full of fun. I participated in on-stage anchoring competitions. In the off-stage segment, I took part in events such as poster making, mehndi designing and badminton. Next time, I want to take part in the fashion show and group dance.”
Her friend Simran Gupta, who participated in Group Dance, said, “It was a great opportunity to perform in front of the dignitaries.”
Renowned hockey player and Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Sports, Higher Education & NRI Affairs, Government of Punjab, Mr.Pargat Singh, graced the inauguration ceremony as the Chief Guest. During his inaugural speech, he motivated students with his encouraging words. He stressed on the need of maintaining good health, a sound mind and a focussed approach towards life.
Other distinguished guests who presided over the two-day celebration included Mr. Nirmal Mahajan, Member, Board of Governors, Mr. MK Abrol, Member, Board of Governors, Mr. LR Nayyar, Retired IRS, and Dr Sucharita Sharma, Director, Apeejay Education Society.
The preparations for the grand fiesta began a month ago. In two days a series of activities and competitions were held at the AIMETC campus. Some of the academic and sports events were Paper Presentation, Quiz, Debate, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, etc. The cultural events included Skit, Antakshri, One Act Play, Ad Mad Show, Dumb Charade, Debate, Classical Vocal Solo and Duet Singing, Solo and Group Dance as well as Fashion Show.
Speaking about his unique experience, Raghav Kapoor, an MBA student with AIMETC said, “It was my first time when I witnessed such a multi-event wherein a number of activities and competitions were taking place simultaneously both on-stage and off-stage. I participated in Group and Solo Singing as well as Duet Singing. I also walked the ramp in the fashion show. The event also became a learning ground for me. I learnt the art of time management and the need to enhance managerial skills to organise such large scale events.”
Another MBA student, Shweta Arora said, “I am an introvert. But the way teachers supported all of us was really motivating. I finally participated in four to five activities such as paper presentation, debate, elocution and rangoli.I am awaiting the results now.”
Excited about her participation in various activities, Riya Rana, an MBA student said, “ I participated in Group Singing and Dumb Charade. I like to learn about new things and build my knowledge and so I also took part in Quiz.”
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC also presented the annual report highlighting the institute’s journey, the awards and rankings it has achieved over these years. He also applauded academic achievements, placement offers bagged by students as well as the efforts taken by the teachers, parents and students who seamlessly adapted online teaching-learning induced by the ongoing pandemic.

“Pinnacle is a multi-event meet providing a platform to the students to explore and exhibit their hidden talents in various fields like Fine Arts, Music, Dance, Sports, Literary, Theatre etc. The 19th edition of this grand fest is very special for all of us, as we are celebrating this after a break of one year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”
