Bright minds, beaming faces, and a shared sense of accomplishment lit up the Gyanpeeth Award Ceremony hosted by the Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences (TIT&S). The event was more than just a felicitation; it was a celebration of determination, hard work, and dreams taking flight. By honouring Class XII (academic Year 2024-25) students of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, who secured 75% and above in their Board exams, the ceremony sent a powerful message: Excellence is achievable, and every milestone matters.

Meet Hanika, Sunidhi and Yasheka Sharma, who scored 87% (Commerce), 82.8% (Commerce) and 77.8% (PCM) respectively in their Board exam.

Sharing about their preparation strategies, Hanika said, “I didn’t follow any extraordinary method. I just stayed regular with my studies. I believe studying with a peaceful mind helped me absorb things better.”

Sunidhi’s preparation was mostly on staying focused on understanding concepts and staying consistent. And Yasheka explained, “During the crucial period, I immersed myself in focused study, preparing thoroughly for practicals, revising NCERT content for subjects like Chemistry, and consistently solving questions in Physics and Maths.”

With its focus on motivating young achievers and fostering a culture of consistent effort and discipline, the ceremony stood as a proud moment for students, parents, and educators alike, reinforcing the value of hard work and perseverance that resulted in each one’s accomplishments.

However, the success wasn’t an easy feat to achieve, and there were several challenges that each one faced and overcame. “One challenge that I faced was staying consistent during my studies. I didn’t always follow a strict routine, so sometimes last-minute pressure would build up, but I overcame it by staying calm and focusing on one thing at a time,” mentioned Hanika.

For Sunidhi, the biggest hurdle was dealing with pressure and overthinking before certain subjects. To overcome that, she focused on staying calm and revising the concepts. And Yasheka’s major challenge was a lack of sufficient practice, which she believed significantly affected my performance.

Moving on to the plans ahead, all three of them have planned good things. “I plan to pursue BCom (Hons) from Delhi University,” quipped Hanika. Sunidhi’s goal is to pursue BBA at Chitkara University, Punjab, and Yasheka aims to enrol in a BTech programme in Computer Science Engineering.
