Apeejay School, Pitampura, organised a capacity building workshop for its faculty on value education through sports and games. The workshop was built around the idea that values are best absorbed not through instruction alone, but through experience, practice, and shared activity.
The session was conducted by two resource persons with distinct vantage points on physical education and school leadership: Mrs Archana Narain, Principal and Director of The Indian Heights School, Dwarka, and Mr Brij Arora, Coach at NIT Delhi and PGT Physical Education at Navy Children School. Together, they walked faculty through interactive and experiential methods for weaving values directly into sports and games, rather than treating them as a separate classroom subject.

Through a mix of hands-on activities and reflective discussion, the workshop drew out the role that teamwork, empathy, discipline, leadership, and respect play in shaping well-rounded students. The event framed physical activity not just as exercise, but as a genuine vehicle for holistic education.
For the participating educators, the workshop’s core takeaway was less about theory and more about practice. The session left faculty with concrete ways to make values instruction more engaging and rooted in real classroom and playground moments going forward.

The school described the day as one of learning, reflection, and shared growth. The workshop intended to leave its faculty better equipped to model the very values, teamwork and discipline among students, that they hope to instill.
