Commemorating Dr Stya Paul’s exemplary contribution to the field of education

Apeejay School, Noida, commemorated revered founder chairman Dr Stya Paul on the occasion of his 103rd birth anniversary. Celebrated as ‘Founder’s Day’, it was marked by a special programme by the students and the faculty.

The auspicious event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The tiny tots of the pre-primary department paid tribute by singing melodious bhajans. Meanwhile, principal AK Sharma, vice principal Amrita Hajela, primary incharge Smriti Samuel, along with the staff and school prefects offered a floral “shraddhanjali” to late Dr Paul.

The school principal spoke about the inspiring vision, goals, and lasting legacy of the late founder in promoting man-making and nation-building through quality education provided at Apeejay. He also went on to share an inspiring message on behalf of Dr Paul’s daughter and the current chairman of Apeejay Education Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, in which she highlighted how her father rose from humble beginnings to reach the pinnacle of success and glory. Dr Paul epitomised indomitable spirit, resilience, human values, and ethics, she emphasised.

He further said, “Our revered Founder Chairman Dr Stya Paul ji was a great visionary who with his footprints left behind an indelible impression in our lives. He always worked towards Man- making and character-building. To follow his footsteps will be the greatest tribute to him.”

On this momentous occasion, the school also presented the Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values to students who exhibited exemplary conduct. This was followed by beautiful cultural performances, including a classical dance to pay special homage to Dr Paul. The programme ended with a video presentation on the illustrious life and achievements of the great visionary and leader.

Apeejay International School, Greater Noida, also celebrated ‘Founder’s Day’ at their school, marked by a heartfelt floral tribute and a soul-stirring performance by the school choir. Ananya Garg, a student of class XII performed a dance while those of classes I and II presented the “Ram Stuti”.

The school principal Dr Sarita Pande reminisced about the remarkable and inspiring journey of Dr Paul and similarly shared Mrs Berlia’s message.

The prestigious Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values was conferred on Charvi Khandelwal of class VIII, Kaustub Diwedi of class X, and Lokesh Aggarwal and Krish Thareja of class XII. Kunwar Kunnal Singh of class XI was awarded a scholarship for securing the 24th position in the Apeejay Talent Search Exam (ATSE).

The students also reflected on the school motto “Soaring High in My Nature” and took a pledge to live up to the adage.

A true karmayogi, Dr Stya Paul continues to be a beacon of inspiration for the Apeejay family. He was an eminent industrialist, educationist, philanthropist, and freedom fighter.
