Artistic brilliance shines at Rajeshwari Paul Kala Utsav

On the occasion of the 99th birth anniversary of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji, a revered figure and the wife of late Dr. Stya Paul, the Founder-Chairman of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and the mother of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-Promoter and President of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park organised a grand Rajeshwari Paul Kala Utsav. The event aimed to honour Smt Rajeshwari Paul ji’s legacy of love and affection and to celebrate the creative talents of the students.

The Kala Utsav, a mesmerising art competition, witnessed the participation of students from all grades of Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Paintbrushes danced and pencils sketched on various canvases, including plates, glass bottles, shoes, and t-shirts, turning the school’s hallways into an enchanting gallery of imagination. Students poured their hearts into their masterpieces, infusing their artworks with emotions and stories that captivated the audience. The event not only showcased the students’ talents but also promoted a sense of unity and encouragement among the participants.

Throughout the competition, an enthusiastic atmosphere filled the school premises. It served as a reminder that creativity knows no bounds and that each brushstroke or pencil sketch has the power to transform the world in its own unique way. Many students expressed how participating in the art competition had been a transformative experience for them, refining their artistic skills, nurturing their creativity, and stimulating their imaginations. The event provided them with a platform to explore new techniques and experiment with different art mediums, thereby expanding their artistic horizons.

One of the highlights of the Kala Utsav was the underlying theme of the artworks – “By saving the precious drops of water, we can make the earth a better place to live.” This message resonated with the audience and emphasised the importance of environmental conservation.

After the art competition, the event continued with a series of captivating performances by students from different sections. The programme commenced with a soulful invocation, followed by an exquisite dance performance titled “Never give up.” The melodious rendition of “I have a dream” by the MYP students mesmerised the audience, while the Primary Years Programme students impressed with their remarkable performance on “Ten thousand reasons.”

Adding to the excitement, the MYP- III students presented a gripping and enthralling skit that left the audience in awe. The grand finale of the event featured various talents showcased by the students, including singing, dancing, musical performances, crochet, and even magic acts. The stage came alive with vibrant energy, and every performer received resounding applause and encouragement from the audience, which included fellow students, facilitators, and coordinators.

The grand event concluded with a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. The event not only celebrated creativity and artistic expression but also served as a tribute to the extraordinary legacy of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji. It left an indelible mark on the creative journey of the students, inspiring them to continue exploring their artistic talents and making a positive impact on the world through their creativity.
