Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions for any parent, and for Mrs. Isha Apoorva, mother of Class 3 student Ditvi Padhi, enrolling her daughter at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park has been a decision she cherishes. From academics to extracurriculars, she feels the school has shaped her daughter into a confident and caring individual. In this conversation, she opens up about her Apeejay journey.
Read edited excerpts:
What factors influenced your decision to enrol Ditvi at Apeejay School?

When we were looking for schools, Apeejay was among the top recommendations I received. Even though we are not originally from Delhi, I heard very positive feedback about the school from parents in and beyond Panchsheel Park. Its proximity to our home was also a factor, but more importantly, Apeejay’s reputation for academic excellence and holistic development encouraged us to choose it. Today, I can confidently say it was the right decision.
How do you find the academic structure and teaching methods here?
I truly appreciate the way teachers give children ample time to revise and grasp concepts, especially in subjects like Mathematics. The transition from Class 2 to 3 saw a drastic syllabus change, but the school’s structured approach ensured my daughter had the right support. The teachers focus on building strong conceptual understanding rather than rushing, which I really value.
What role do orientations and school events play in your experience as a parent?
I have attended every orientation and event, and each time, I walk out prouder as a parent. The school doesn’t just focus on the present but gives a clear picture of a child’s journey right up to Class 12. It’s inspiring to see the collaborative effort of teachers, parents, and students come alive during events. Recently, Ditvi performed in the Swagatam dance, and it was a delightful experience to watch not only her but all students perform with confidence.
In what ways have you seen personal growth in your daughter?
When Ditvi joined in Nursery, she was shy and entirely dependent on me. Over the years, with the encouragement of her teachers, she has gained tremendous confidence. She has no stage fear today and speaks fluently as an orator. She has also developed values of empathy and helpfulness, her teachers often share how she completes her work on time and then helps classmates. These qualities, I believe, will shape her into a responsible individual.
What activities or subjects does your daughter enjoy the most at school?
She absolutely enjoys skating, PT periods, dancing, and even Mathematics. She has participated in Olympiads, inter-school competitions, and activities like Stelbies. She is growing as a well-rounded student who enjoys both academics and extracurriculars.
