There is no doubt that the students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, are remarkably talented. And once again they have proved it right as the students recently bagged a championship trophy in a competition held on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, organised by the Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Ludhiana.

Students of ACFA secured top positions in various competitions, with Gagandeep Singh winning first place in folk song, Ankush and Nirvair Singh excelling in conversation using proverbs and idioms, and Prateek Dutt Sharma showcasing his skills in poster making. Additionally, Khushi Sharma secured the second prize in poetry recitation, and Prabhjot Kaur bagged the third prize in story writing.

Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, lauded the students, emphasising that their success reflects dedicated preparation and hard work. She also encouraged them to excel academically, making both the college and parents proud.

Further, Dr. Dhingra acknowledged the guidance provided by faculty members, including Ms Lovepreet Kaur, Ms Anuradha, Mr. Gurvinder Singh, and Dr. Pooja from the Department of Punjabi, along with Dr. Mandeep Singh from the Department of Music.

Their support in preparing the students for these competitions was pivotal, and Dr. Dhingra encouraged them to continue providing such platforms that nurture students’ talents and provide valuable exposure. The victory not only signifies the prowess of ACFA students in linguistic and creative domains but also highlights the college’s commitment to holistic development and fostering a culture of excellence.
