As part of the Independence Day celebrations, students of Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, visited the Vajra Museum in Jalandhar Cantt. Students got the opportunity to explore the valour, sacrifices, and glorious legacy of the Indian Armed Forces.
The educational excursion offered students a meaningful time to connect with India’s rich military heritage. The one day event provided them with a first-hand glimpse into the courage, discipline, and dedication of the armed forces personnel who continue to safeguard the nation.
Through the museum’s exhibits and displays, Apeejay students gained deeper insight into the history and sacrifices behind India’s freedom and security. Young learners engaged with the nation’s military legacy in a way that textbooks alone could not offer. The visit served as a reminder of the countless heroes whose courage and commitment have shaped and protected the country over the decades.
Timed thoughtfully ahead of Independence Day, the excursion allowed students to reflect on the true meaning of freedom. Students understood that freedom is not merely a historical event, but, it is a continuing responsibility upheld by the nation’s defenders. By witnessing the artefacts, stories, and tributes housed within the Vajra Museum, kids were able to develop a stronger sense of gratitude and respect for the Indian Armed Forces.

The visit also reinforced the values of patriotism and national pride among young learners. It encouraged them to appreciate the freedoms they enjoy today as a result of the sacrifices made by soldiers and defence personnel throughout India’s history.
Through this initiative, Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar, celebrated the spirit of freedom while honouring the heroes who made it possible. The day ensured that students carry forward a meaningful and lasting message.
The excursion stands as yet another example of the school’s commitment to experiential learning. They used real-world environments and immersive experiences to instill in students an understanding of history, patriotism, and civic responsibility.
