The 2-day online training session of ACP Year 2 was indeed a valuable and enriching session for Ms Surbhi Jain of Apeejay School, Faridabad. The training focused on building better teaching techniques and value-based education that holds utmost importance in developing young learners.
The sessions emphasised how the power of positive thinking, character and values can be imparted among students through activities in the classroom.
Ms Jain was involved in various participatory discussions, group activities and live demonstrations throughout the programme. The programme helped her to be a better facilitator in the classroom. The different sessions conducted during the programme focused on an activity-based teaching-learning methodology to cater for a learning experience that would lead students to explore, imagine, create, analyse and think critically.
The programme also conveyed different techniques that would help in making classroom sessions interesting, activity-based, with learners’ involvement and an inclusive learning environment.

Another crucial part of the training programme was on good delivery and presentation skills. Feedback and reflection exercises allowed participants to reflect on their delivery, maintain student engagement and increase the classroom communication between teachers and students. It also enabled teachers to reflect on their teaching practice and areas of self-development.
The training also assisted teachers in learning the delivery of the curriculum in a more systematic and meaningful way. The course helped teachers to know how to develop the balance of academic aspects with the social, emotional and ethical aspects.

Overall, the ACP year 2 Online Training was a very positive experience for Ms Surbhi Jain. It has strengthened her confidence level as a teacher and improved her ability to use newer teaching techniques. This will definitely add value, effectiveness and engagement for her students in the future.
