An adventurous excursion to Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve Museum

We started our journey even before we had sighted the sun. The hustle-bustle of fellow students and my own excitement drove away my morning drowsiness. The bus ride to Jim Corbett was long and tiring, but the enthusiasm did not wane for even a moment. When we reached our destination, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel that we were staying at and its stunning surroundings. The cosy environment, sumptuous food, and engaging team activities led us to enjoy each moment of the trip.

After checking in and resting for a while, we proceeded to leave for our first activity. Being an ESS student, I found the visit to the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve Museum immensely insightful. It gave us a glimpse into the several ecosystems and splendid variety of flora and fauna that the reserve is home to. The visit to the Kosi River and Girija Temple was serene. We all enjoyed sprawling on the river bank, wading in the cool water and seeking blessings at the holy temple. Day 1 was a roller coaster ride for all of us. And even though it was exhausting, my friends and I made the most of it.

Over the course of the next two days, we visited a hiking trail, Dhikala, for a jungle safari and engaged in commando net and tire bridge track crossing activities. We also got the chance to buy some souvenirs for our families on the last day. For me, the most entertaining part of the trip was the jeep ride to and from the reserve. We could hear the call from the wildlife and the harmonious bond between the creatures out there.

The three days of the trip turned into a wonderfully meaningful experience during which my friends and I found ourselves discovering new things and seeing them from a new perspective. My experience on the trip was uplifting and unforgettable. It was certainly an exciting trip and has now become a memory stored in my heart forever.
