Paying an ode to unconditional love, Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad, Sector 21 D, marked Mother’s Day with a thoughtfully planned celebration that brought together students and mothers in a shared moment of gratitude and reflection. The event focused on recognising the quiet strength and care that shape a child’s early years, making the occasion both meaningful and memorable for all present.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by a calm and reflective prayer led by students from senior KG to Class II. This opening set the tone for the morning, placing emphasis on respect and togetherness. The participation of young students added a sense of sincerity, reminding everyone of the bond the day aimed to honour.
In her welcome address, the school Principal Mrs Purnima Vohra acknowledged the role of mothers in guiding and supporting children through their formative years. She expressed appreciation for their constant presence and the values they pass on, highlighting how this support extends beyond the home into a child’s learning journey.
The cultural segment brought energy to the event. Young children presented dance performances that were both lively and expressive, while senior students added depth through coordinated presentations. Group songs dedicated to mothers created a warm atmosphere, allowing students to express their feelings in a simple yet powerful way.

A key highlight was the storytelling session conducted by Ms Simi Srivastava, Founder, Kathashala. Her session blended sound, movement, and expression, drawing both students and mothers into the narrative. It created a shared space of imagination and reflection, where participants could reconnect with familiar emotions.
The celebration concluded on a note of appreciation, recognising the everyday contributions of mothers. Events like these serve as gentle reminders of the values schools aim to nurture, not only in students but within the larger community.
