For Preeti, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri is a family tradition. She has three children, and all of them have studied at the school. Her two elder children have long been part of Apeejay, and her youngest, Mishti, is now following in their footsteps. Even members of the extended family have studied there. In this conversation, Preeti talks about why she chose the school for all her children

What made you choose Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri for Mishti?

I have three children, and Mishti is the youngest. Her elder siblings are also at Apeejay, so it was a natural decision to admit her here too. Our family members have studied at this school as well, including my husband’s elder brother’s children. We have been associated with Apeejay for more than 15 years. That long experience has given us a lot of trust in the school.

How do you find Apeejay in terms of education and teaching?

I feel very comfortable with it. My children are improving well, and they have built good reputations in the school. One of my children has already passed out, another is in Class 12, and Mishti is in the early classes. I have seen them all grow here. Over the years, my children have also become comfortable speaking in Hindi and English, and they carry themselves well when we meet relatives and friends, which makes me happy.

When you have a concern, do the teachers listen and help?

Yes, I have always had a positive response. That is one reason I have kept all my children in the same school year after year. My elder children are also satisfied. When we ask whether they would like to change schools, they say no, and share that Apeejay is better.

Do you feel the school is safe for Mishti?

Yes, absolutely. We live within walking distance, so I personally drop and pick up the children. I am completely comfortable with the school environment. I have never had a reason to worry about safety. Mishti is still young, but she interacts easily with her teachers and the non-teaching staff.

Does the school communicate well about events, exams and activities?

Yes, the teachers keep us informed about everything, including the winter carnival, exams and cultural activities. Children who are interested get opportunities to take part, so they can try different activities and learn as much as they can.

How do the teachers support the children’s interests?

If a child shows interest in something, the teachers encourage and push them forward. We also push our children at home. I am happy that the teachers are helping them grow. I believe this partnership between school and parents is in the children’s best interest.
