Two sporting achievements by students of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, have brought recognition in swimming and Wushu. At the Punjab State School Games Swimming Championship, two students earned a bronze medal in a relay event. Days later, a Class VIII student won first position at a district wushu championship and secured a place at the state level.

Bronze in the Under-14 medley relay

Devnoor Singh Dhaliwal and Gurshaan Singh Mann won the bronze medal in the Under-14 Boys medley relay category at the 70th Punjab State School Games Swimming Championship 2026-27. The championship was held in Sangrur recently.

Their medal came in a relay event, where the result reflects a shared effort. The school congratulated Devnoor and Gurshaan, recognising their dedication, teamwork and sporting spirit. It wished them continued success in future competitions.

The bronze places their swimming achievement within a state school games competition. For both students, the Sangrur championship was the setting for a result they could celebrate together.

First place in district Wushu

In a separate achievement, Bhav Aggarwal of Class VIII secured first position at the Kheda Watan Punjab Dia District Wushu Championship. The competition took place at PAP Indoor Stadium, PAP Campus, Jalandhar.

This district result earned him selection for the Kheda Watan Punjab Dia State Wushu Championship. His first-place finish thus takes him to the next stage of competition. The school congratulated him on his performance and wished him well for the competition ahead.

Together, the results recognise students who have represented the school in different sports and at different stages of competition. Devnoor and Gurshaan return with a state-level swimming medal; Bhav moves forward from a district win to a state wushu championship. Both achievements are a source of pride for the school.
