‘Apeejay always encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities’

Raunak Singh, who is pursuing his graduation at Apeejay Stya University (ASU),Gurugram, believes his college journey is being shaped by continuous learning, confidence-building, and practical exposure. From classroom presentations to internships and extracurricular activities, Apeejay has helped him strengthen his communication, teamwork, and professional skills. Currently interning with ZeProp in the Business Development and Market Operations domain, Raunak shares his experiences, learnings, and future aspirations in this interview. Read edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay for your graduation?

I chose Apeejay because of its good academic environment, supportive faculty, and focus on overall student development. The college also provides exposure through internships, seminars, and practical learning opportunities, which helped me prepare for my career. I believed Apeejay would help me build both knowledge and confidence for the future.

What new skills have you learned at Apeejay ?

At Apeejay, I learned many important skills such as communication skills, teamwork, time management, and presentation skills. I also improved my confidence while speaking in front of others and learned how to work professionally in a team. Through projects and activities, I developed problem-solving abilities and gained practical exposure related to business and professional environments.

Your memories and how did Apeejay help you grow your hobbies?

One of my favorite memories at Apeejay is participating in college activities, interacting with classmates, and learning through different events and presentations. Apeejay always encouraged students to participate in extracurricular activities, which helped me improve my confidence and social skills. The supportive environment motivated me to explore my interests and improve my overall personality.

Where are you interning and how did you prepare for this offer?

I am currently interning with ZeProp in the Business Development and Market Operations domain. To prepare for this opportunity, I worked on improving my communication skills, understanding professional behaviour, and learning about the company and its work. I also prepared myself through academic knowledge, confidence-building, and interview preparation. Apeejay played an important role in helping me prepare for such opportunities.

Your future aspirations

My future aspiration is to build a successful career where I can continuously learn and grow professionally. I want to gain practical industry experience, improve my skills, and work in a reputed organisation. I also aim to become financially independent and achieve personal and professional success through hard work and dedication.
