Learning is not always smooth, and students often face moments of doubt along the way. What matters is how they respond through practice, support, and a balanced mindset. Gradually, this response shapes both confidence and capability. These ideas take clearer shape when students speak about their own experiences and the habits that guided them through the year.

Meet Avni Aggarwal, Ranvir Singh, and Smarth Sharma from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, who reflect on their success journey for the academic year 2025-26.

Staying consistent throughout the year made a big difference to Avni’s performance. “I was motivated by my parents and teachers, which kept me focused even during difficult phases. I followed a proper timetable and made sure to give equal time to every subject, whether it was Science and Math or Punjabi and English. I did struggle a bit with Science and Math at first, but once I started dedicating extra time to them, my understanding improved and so did my scores,” this now Class X student said.

There were distractions along the way, but her parents always guided her and helped her stay on track. “My advice to juniors would be simple. Stay consistent and put in regular effort. When you give enough time to your studies, things gradually become easier, and you feel more confident handling challenges,” she opined.

Consistency played the most important role in Ranvir’s performance this year. He made it a point to study regularly, pay attention in class, and revise topics on time instead of leaving everything for the last moment.

“During the year, I followed a simple routine, but as exams approached, I adjusted my study plan to focus more on difficult subjects and revision. This helped me prepare better and feel more confident. I managed stress by staying organised and avoiding last-minute pressure. Taking short breaks, staying positive, and getting proper sleep before exams helped me stay calm and focused,” this Class X student said.

Along with good marks, he also developed better self-discipline and confidence. He realised that time management and consistency are not just useful for exams but important life skills that help in achieving long-term success.

One mistake Smarth made at the beginning of the year was not paying enough attention to weaker subjects. “I realised this after my mid-term exams, and from that point, I started giving more time to the areas where I was falling behind. That shift helped me improve steadily. To manage both schoolwork and rest, I focused on completing important tasks first and left the less urgent ones for later. This approach helped me stay productive without feeling burnt out by the end of the day,” he stated.

His teachers played a strong role in my progress. They regularly cleared his doubts, guided him whenever he felt stuck, and supported him throughout the year. “If I could change one thing, I would begin my revision much earlier instead of waiting until exams were close,” the now Class X student said in conclusion.
