The Vice-principal of the school, Ms Neha Sharma, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of resilience, teamwork, and integrity both on and off the field. “It gives me immense pride to welcome you to Synergia 2026, a celebration of energy, excellence, and the true spirit of sport. We believe education extends beyond classrooms. We strive to nurture balanced, courageous, and principled individuals with a vision that aligns with the International Baccalaureate philosophy of developing inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people.  Sport becomes a powerful expression of these values. Through every race and match, our students demonstrate resilience, integrity, teamwork, and respect,” she shared.

We are proud of our growing association with the International Schools Sports Organization and of our students’ achievements from Taekwondo to the remarkable performance of our Under-11 football team, Ms Sharma said. “Their dedication reflects discipline and perseverance. I sincerely thank our coaches and facilitators for their commitment, and our parents for their unwavering support. To our students, this is your moment. Participate wholeheartedly, uphold your values, and celebrate not just victory, but the spirit of unity and fair play,” she said and added “With great pride, I declare Synergia 2026 open. Let the games begin!”

This was followed by the much-awaited balloon release ceremony, where the Vice-principal and Reception students officially declared Synergia 2026 open that symbolised hope and aspiration.

The tone then shifted to celebration as the school’s Rock Band took centre stage, delivering an electrifying performance that energised the crowd and set the perfect rhythm for the day ahead.

In a thoughtful initiative, a cold beverage stall was set up to offer refreshment under the warm sun. What made it even more meaningful was that the proceeds collected were pledged to the CRY Foundation, reflecting the school’s spirit of compassion and social responsibility.

The performances began with the PYP students’ vibrant drill display, where young learners dazzled the audience with synchronised formations and colourful pom-poms. This was followed by a powerful Taekwondo demonstration by PYP and MYP students, showcasing discipline, agility, and strength. The Yoga acrobatics presentation further impressed spectators with its balance, coordination, and grace.

Ms Sanya Malhotra, CAS Coordinator, then took over the hosting, building excitement for the competitive events. The funathon obstacle races saw students navigating challenges with determination, followed by the 80-metre sprints that tested speed and stamina. The team-building hurdle races and relay races brought out strategic coordination and collective spirit.

The event truly embraced inclusivity as parents stepped onto the field for separate men’s and women’s races, followed by an enthusiastic tug-of-war session. Teachers and support staff also joined in, earning thunderous applause for their spirited participation.
