At the Pre-primary stage, learning goes far beyond textbooks. Young children are naturally curious, imaginative, and eager to explore the world around them. That is why interactive and experiential activities hold a special place in early education. Events like a magic show not only spark wonder and joy but also serve as powerful tools to introduce children to fundamental concepts in science, mathematics, and creativity.
Keeping this in mind, the Pre-primary Wing of Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, recently organised a special Magic Show, designed to combine entertainment with meaningful learning. The event led by Ms Gurvinder Kaur and Ms Pridhi Kataria turned out to be a truly magical learning experience for the young learners. Their excitement and wide-eyed amazement set the tone as teachers performed a series of innovative tricks, each woven with an element of science or logic. What seemed like a fun illusion at first soon revealed itself to be a clever teaching method.

From “Dancing Popcorns,” where children discovered the effect of air, to the “Impossible Balance” act that explained the concept of stability, every performance carried a learning twist. The “Multiplying Coins” act not only dazzled but also helped students connect with early counting skills.
Meanwhile, the “Magical Volcano” eruption fascinated all while demonstrating chemical reactions and geological processes. In “Water Magic,” students explored the properties of water, while the “Floating Cup” act taught them about buoyancy in an engaging way. Perhaps the most thrilling for many was the “Flying Stick,” which introduced them to the invisible yet powerful force of magnetism.
The learning outcomes of the event were evident. Students not only enjoyed the show but also actively participated, asked questions, and made connections to concepts they encountered in daily life. The activity:
The magic show ended with cheerful applause and a sense of wonder lingering in the atmosphere. Teachers successfully transformed a seemingly entertaining event into an educational journey, proving that when magic meets learning, the results are unforgettable.

This initiative highlighted the importance of experiential learning in the formative years, ensuring that students not only gain knowledge but also develop the confidence and enthusiasm to explore, discover, and learn with joy.
