Students of Classes III to V of Apeejay School, Nerul, embarked on an exciting educational excursion to the Nehru Planetarium, the Discovery of India Building, and the Nehru Science Centre. Designed to complement classroom learning with real-world experiences, the visit provided students with an engaging opportunity to explore the fascinating worlds of science, astronomy, innovation, and Indian history.

Accompanied by their teachers, the students enthusiastically explored a wide range of interactive exhibits and thoughtfully curated displays. At the Nehru Planetarium, they experienced an informative presentation that introduced them to the mysteries of space, the solar system, celestial bodies, and the wonders of the universe. The immersive experience sparked curiosity and encouraged students to think beyond textbooks, inspiring many to ask insightful questions about astronomy and space exploration.

The visit offered learners a meaningful glimpse into India’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Through engaging exhibits and informative displays, students gained a deeper appreciation of the nation’s journey, achievements, and diverse legacy. The experience helped them connect historical events with concepts learned in the classroom, making learning more relevant and memorable.

At the Nehru Science Centre, students immersed themselves in hands-on scientific exploration. Interactive exhibits covering physics, technology, energy, and everyday scientific principles encouraged them to experiment, observe, and understand complex concepts through practical experiences. The engaging environment nurtured critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a spirit of inquiry, making science both enjoyable and accessible.

Throughout the excursion, the students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and active participation. They eagerly interacted with the exhibits, shared observations with their peers, and demonstrated genuine curiosity as they explored new ideas. The visit reinforced the importance of experiential learning by allowing students to discover knowledge through observation, interaction, and exploration rather than passive learning alone.

The school also ensured the students’ comfort and well-being throughout the trip. A delicious, nutritious, and hygienically prepared meal was served, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the outing together while strengthening bonds with classmates and teachers.

The two-day educational excursion proved to be a perfect blend of learning and recreation. It not only broadened the students’ understanding of science, space, and history but also encouraged them to become curious, confident, and lifelong learners. The enriching experience left every participant inspired with fresh perspectives, valuable knowledge, and cherished memories that will continue to motivate their learning journey for years to come.
