Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) celebrated the vibrant festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm and joy on campus. The festivities commenced with the traditional lighting of a bonfire, around which sweets, peanuts, puffed rice, and popcorn were offered to the sacred flames. The air resonated with the melodies of traditional folk songs associated with the festival, creating an atmosphere of warmth and togetherness.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, extended his heartfelt wishes on this auspicious occasion. He highlighted that Lohri is a celebration of youth, energy, and vitality. Dr. Bagga also encouraged students to embrace the spirit of joy and positivity in their lives. He further added that the Lohri festival serves as a delightful reminder of India’s rich cultural heritage and the importance of togetherness and joy in life.
The celebrations saw teachers and hostel residents coming together to offer prayers and chant hymns, fostering a sense of community and gratitude. As part of the celebrations, the Institute also emphasised the importance of eco-friendly practices by using sustainable materials for the bonfire and promoting awareness about preserving natural resources. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets and dry fruits, spreading happiness among everyone present.

The Lohri celebration not only brought the campus community together but also served as a platform for fostering camaraderie, inclusiveness, and shared joy among students, faculty, and staff.
