We often hear “Honesty is the best policy” Why so??

We all have also heard that hiding one lie takes 99 more lies! So, why to be dishonest? Or become a liar in everybody’s eyes??

Today, I am here to answer the question “Why honesty is important?”

We all know deep in our hearts, that if we have a good intention to do something, we would never lie about it to anyone. So, why ever take a wrong decision and then make a mountain of lies to hide that..?

WHY IS HONESTY IMPORTANT??

Here, we have a valid and significant reason since honesty builds trust! Even after being loyal for many years, one lie can ruin everything and you never trust that person again.

We all wish to have a good personality, but, the basic quality which builds our personality is “honesty”

If we are dishonest, nobody will like us! And, we all know that one lie is enough to ruin our whole reputation!!

Further, it is not for others, but, for our ownself!

By being honest, we are confident and not afraid of anything, because we are truthful!

“An honest person is known as a real person”

We always know what we are doing, and whether it will have a good result or not!

Therefore it is said “Do good, and have good”

Whatever we do to others always comes back to us in some or the other way.

Moreover, being honest is an excellent quality!! We all must have heard the story of the woodcutter who had by mistakenly thrown his axe into a deep pond, but he was honest, even though he was tempted by the gold axe, he denied and exclaimed “This is not mine, I have an iron axe”

He didn’t even know that he’d get all the axes for being honest, but he was delighted for being honest.

So, never regret for being honest!

For example – In our daily life, whenever we forget to complete our homework, we often give excuses, for forgetting to bring the notebook, however even the teacher is familiar with these excuses, and in return scolds us for being dishonest, while if we are honest, then the teacher understands out a mistake and forgives us for one day.

What is more, honesty is important for building healthy relationships with your family and friends!

To conclude, I would like to say that honesty is respect towards others and having integrity and self-awareness. We should always walk on the path of truth as it is said “NO LEGACY IS AS RICH AS HONESTY”
