What are you doing professionally now?
At present, I am working as an intern at Lancers International School, where I am gaining hands-on experience as a teacher. In this role, I am involved in planning and delivering lessons and assisting in classroom management. I am passionate about education and excited to contribute to the learning journeys of my students.
What does a typical day look like?
A typical day as an intern teacher is both dynamic and fulfilling. My day usually starts early, arriving at the school to prepare the classroom and materials for the lessons ahead. I collaborate with experienced teachers to plan and develop engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards. Throughout the day, I am engaged in delivering lessons and attending meetings. I also participate in professional development sessions to enhance my teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices. After students’ dispersal, I often spend time reflecting on the day’s lessons and planning for the next day, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet the diverse needs of my students before coming home.
Tell us about your time at ASU.
My time at ASU was incredibly enriching and memorable. The best thing remains the faculty members, they are highly knowledgeable and supportive, always encouraging us to push our boundaries and think critically. The university’s emphasis on holistic education allowed me to engage in various extracurricular activities, from cultural events to academic seminars, which greatly enhanced my overall learning experience. The state-of-the-art facilities and resources provided an excellent environment for both academic and personal growth. Overall, my experience was highly positive, providing me with the skills and confidence to excel in my professional journey.
Share a few nostalgic memories from ASU.
One nostalgic moment was the buzz before organising our cultural festivals. The weeks leading up to the event were a whirlwind of activity, with students juggling multiple responsibilities — from coordinating with performers and sponsors to managing logistics and promotions. The late nights and countless meetings created a sense of camaraderie and teamwork that was truly special. Despite the hectic schedule, the excitement and anticipation kept us motivated. Seeing the event come together and witnessing everyone enjoying the fest made all the hard work worthwhile. It was an incredible learning experience in project management and teamwork, and the memories of those intense yet rewarding days remain some of my fondest from university. I also fondly remember the interactive workshops and seminars that broadened my perspectives and allowed me to connect with industry experts.
How were the teachers at ASU?
The faculty was exceptional. They were not only highly knowledgeable in their respective fields but also incredibly supportive and approachable. They encouraged us to push our boundaries and think critically, fostering an environment of intellectual growth and curiosity. Their commitment to our success went beyond academics, as they were always available for guidance and mentorship, helping us navigate both our studies and career aspirations. The dedication and passion of the faculty significantly enhanced my learning experience and left a lasting impact on my academic journey.

What are your goals?
Being from an Army background, I always saw myself as an officer. Now I know that I can do so much better in education than I could ever do in any other field. Through many coincidences that landed me here at ASU, I discovered my true passion for education. I truly believe that education can be a solution to every societal problem. My goal is to make a meaningful impact in the field of education by inspiring and empowering students.
Any message for the students of the university?
The students sometimes lack a sense of confidence and motivation but true dedication and determination can change everything. Our biggest example is Dr Stya Paul. His story is inspiring and we all should learn the power of determination from what he created out of his sheer determination and motivation.
What’s your advice for future aspirants?
Education is not an easy career. It will test your abilities and patience. If anybody wants to pursue education as a career they should be very clear about their choice and they must do it because they truly love this profession. A good teacher will be remembered by the students throughout their life. This profession tests your patience and dedication to the fullest. Thus future course aspirants should be extra careful and particular about their choices and be well prepared for the future.
How did ASU help you hone your skills?
As I mentioned earlier, the holistic approach of the university helped me acquire the skills through various seminars and conferences and most importantly the faculty at ASU helped us achieve the best in our fields.
