In a celebration of creativity and artistic expression, the PG Department of Fine Arts at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar, hosted a transformative three-day painting workshop. This was graced by the presence of internationally acclaimed artist Dr. Vijay M. Dhore.
The workshop commenced with a warm welcome extended by Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, who highlighted the college’s enduring commitment to the preservation and promotion of fine arts. Dr. Dhingra emphasised the visionary legacy of the college’s founder, late Dr. Stya Paul ji, who envisioned a world where art thrives and is celebrated. She underscored the pivotal role of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, in carrying forward this noble endeavour, along with the significant contributions of Dr. Sucharita, Director of Apeejay Education Jalandhar, in nurturing the development of fine arts.

Sharing his profound artistic expertise, Dr. Vijay Dhore addressed the eager students, instilling in them the essence of art as a therapeutic medium for self-expression. He elucidated on the transformative power of art while highlighting its ability to facilitate personal and professional growth. Drawing from his wealth of experience, Dr. Vijay Dhore also mentioned the timeless relevance of drawing as an integral component of various art forms. He eloquently expressed that true art transcends verbal description, inviting individuals to perceive and experience its essence.



Moreover, Dr. Dhore shed light on the evolving landscape of art, acknowledging the influence of technology and the consequent changes it has introduced. He encouraged students to embrace creativity and experimentation, envisioning the emergence of new artistic genres imbued with harmony and innovation.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Vijay Dhore expressed his profound admiration for the young artists, affirming his intent not only to impart knowledge but also to learn from their unique perspectives and artistic endeavors.

In the end, Dr. Dhingra extended heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Rimpy Aggarwal, Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Dr. Jeevan Kumari, Dr. Gagan Gambhir, and Ms. Amandeep for their dedicated efforts in organising this enriching workshop.
